- Just like the other open graph tagging, the URL needs to be exactly the URL of the page that it is on. That allows a person sharing that page to have a link in their Facebook post that links right back to that page. Now, why would you want them to go elsewhere? Well… you could play with this. You are in control of the URL that people click on for this page. Maybe you want this page to get shared and another page to be a landing page. It’s a hack if you want to go for it, even though it confuses things. Just make sure this tag is filled out, or the link from Facebook will go nowhere.
